Our worship life is centered on Judeo-Christian teachings, but we view scripture through the prism of human understanding and experience as well as valuing wisdom drawn from other faith traditions.
We do not adhere to a particular statement of faith or belief. We encourage each individual to shape his/her/their own faith and spiritual practice.
Since 1931, The First Parish of Bolton has brought together people from many different religious traditions. We are currently affiliated with the Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA), United Church of Christ (UCC), the American Baptist Churches (ABC), and have Quaker roots.
Our doors are open to all generations of families, to children and parents, to single people, to seniors, to the physically or mentally challenged, to those who have economic advantages, and to those who do not. In October of 2024, our congregation was officially recognized by our three constituent denominational bodies as Open and Affirming to the LGBTQ+ community. We continue to celebrate and hold educational programs in keeping with this designation.
Church members support the life and work of our community by sharing their time and gifts and through generous and sustained giving. Ongoing work is coordinated by our Outreach Team, which always welcomes more help. Please contact them in person or via the church’s email for more information.
Set among towns that are growing rapidly, we nurture the connections between people that create community.
