Children in Worship
Children are an important part of our community and we delight in their presence in worship and any contributions — planned or spontaneous — they make!
Our regular services include a Children’s Message, which can vary from a brief message related to Sunday’s worship theme, to a fun discussion about an item a child brought in. We know the children can teach us a thing or two!
Our formal Religious Education classes have been temporarily suspended while we build interest among families and strengthen our Religious Education Committee.
Of course, children are always welcome to remain in worship with their parents/caregivers. However, for your comfort only as the adults who brought children, if you feel your child may be disruptive but you still want to hear the service, we offer a “comfort room” in the Randall Parlor (off Davis Hall) where there are children’s toys and books, a comfortable couch and chairs, and a closed-circuit video feed of the worship service.
Youth Programs
Our new Senior Minister, “Pastor Ginger,” is eager to meet teenagers who might like to assist in hosting worship services, gather around the fire pit, help with an outreach project, or engage with the congregation in other ways that interest them.
Please introduce her to your teens!
